Rome Protest 1600hrs 14 November 2001

We have just received this e-mail with details of a protest at the Egyptian Embassy in Rome later today.

Arcigay, Italian National Gay Association, will protest in front of Egypt embassy in Rome.

The 14th of November is the day of the final hearing of the process against the 52 presumed homosexual in Egypt from which a violent campaign against homosexual people has been generated. On that day Arcigay will make a stand in front of Egypt embassy in Rome to protest against this process and to invite to the respect of the human rights of the accused people. This stand will be suported also by the Italian Radical Party, there present with its Secretary, and by a number of Member of Parliament, suche has Mr. Franco Grillini and Ms. Titti De Simone.

The public stand will take place at 16:00 hours at the entrance of the Egypt embassy in Rome, via Salaria 267.
